68th Annual Golden Globe Awards

8:15 Wow, Ricky Gervais is true to his words. He comes out with guns blazing, making sure they won’t invite him back again.
8:25 Gleeks around the world rejoice!! Chris Colfer wins his first Golden Globe. He is a true inspiration to kids who feel like outsiders everywhere, gay or straight. “Screw that, kids.”This needs to be on a T-shirt.
8:32 Kevin Bacon will be in X-Men: First Class!? What? I have to update myself…
Oh well, as long as they keep it short.
Aw…Angie is helping Mr. Pitt with his bow tie.
Tilda Swinton always looks good in a shirt.
9:30 Jane Lynch wins! Lea tears up again. Those “diva” gossips are nonsense. Her speech is funny and sincere, channeling Sue Sylvester. Good thing there is someone who doesn’t take the Globes so seriously. They really shouldn’t.
9:50 Jim Parsons wins for The Big Bang Theory! Getting Kaley Cuoco to present to him is a nice touch. He seems more composed than at the Emmys. Just like Jane Lynch as Sue Slyvester, no man can play Sheldon Cooper but him.
Emma Stone went blond?! Must be filming the new Spider-man movie now.
10:12 They must ask Megan Fox to present The Tourist on purpose. If only she can be as classy as Jolie with time…
10:14 David Fincher wins for Social Network. It’s sweeping all the big categories, definitely gaining steam for the Oscars, not that the Globes is any indication of success at the Oscars.

Strange… Colin Firth looks better in real life than in his films.

10:16 GG / Hollywood Foreign Press loves Glee! Even Ryan Murphy seems surprised. Good to see “Becky” on the stage, too. Love how they (Ian, Chris, Jane) are all mentioning the teachers and kids who inspire or are inspired by the show. This is why Glee is not just a TV show; it’s a culture-altering phenomenon.
10:24 Johnny Depp can chew gum while taking a sip of champagne and make it look unbelievably cool. Let’s be honest. He’s nominated for The Tourist just because everyone loves him.

Paul Giomatti wins for Barney’s Version. Canada represent! Now I really want to see this movie.

10:30 Joseph Gordan-Levitt looks absolutely dashing in a suit. He is such a fan of Nolan’s, and rightly so.
10:33 Natalie Portman wins the Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama, of course. She makes dorky sexy, even with that baby bump. Mila “Sweet Lips” Kunis for the win!
10:37 I love how everyone is firing back at Gervais now. Why so serious?
10:48 Colin Firth wins Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. I would freak out if he lost to Jesse Eisenberg. Geez, how these British actors always present themselves in the most elegant way, I have no idea. A Single Man effect in his speech, heehee…
10:53 Final award in the evening already?! Wow, they have actually kept it on time. It’s a miracle. The Social Network wins again. I feel like I should go see it but think it could be overrated.
